Expanding Seminary Partnerships

At Newbigin House, we are passionate about theological education in service of the church and the city. It’s why for the past five years we have been committed to a partnership with Western Theological Seminary (Michigan) that prioritized urban ministry and church planting. As we look to the future, we are broadening our educational partnerships to include Fuller Theological Seminary (California) and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (Pennsylvania). Through an exciting new program we are calling the Newbigin Year, students will experience an interdisciplinary missional curriculum that helps them discern their calling to seminary and ministry. Based on our confidence that theological wisdom at its best looks like Christians coming together to seek the good of the city, the program is designed to help students understand why and how they should aspire to theological education in order to become effective ministers. For this first year, we are excited to welcome an incredibly diverse cohort of students from California, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C.
